Stage 1 fire restrictions are in effect through June 30, 2027. Building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire, campfire, or wood stove fire is prohibited within 1/4 mile of American Fork Canyon, Alpine Loop, North Fork road, Forest Service road #010, and the horse transfer station/day use area. Overnight camping is also prohibited within 1/4 mile of these areas. Exemptions apply for persons with a special use authorization from the Forest Service, and for federal, state, or local officers or members of organized rescue or fire fighting forces performing official duties.
