What this order prohibits

✕ Burying human waste less than 6 inches deep and at less than 200 feet from campsites and/or water sources
✕ Tethering or allowing loose hobbled livestock within 100 feet or less of any water sources. For the purposes of this order, a "water source" is any river, creek, spring, pond, or stream. For the purposes of this order, a "tethering" is any system of containing recreational livestock (horses and/or mules) by means of a highline, rope fence, electric fence, picket, halter and lead rope, hobble or any other containment system. 8.Tethering livestock to trees for periods longer than one hour or less if the animals are causing resource damage. For the purposes of this order, a "tethering' is any system of containing recreational livestock (horses and/or mules) by means of a highline, rope, fence, electric fence, picket, halter and lead rope, hobble, or any other con tainment system
✕ Containing recreational livestock (horses and/or mules) by means of a highline, rope fence, electric fence, picket, halter and lead rope, or any other containment system for a period exceeding 24 hours at the same physical location. For the purposes of this order containment on dry upland areas (dry mineral soil with no grass or organic soils) are exempt form the 24-hour time limit
✕ Collecting firewood that is anything but dead and down on the ground. For the purposes of this order gathering branches from dead or live standing trees or cutting down dead or live trees is prohibited. Collecting firewood that is anything but dead and down on the ground
✕ Possession and/or use of spray-paint to mark cross-country routes and possession and/or use of chainsaws in backcounty non-motorized areas. For the purposes of this order, chainsaws may be used in the following Semi-Primitive Non-Motorized areas (South Fork of the Weber Drainage, White Pine Creek Drainage, Swifts Canyon Drainage, Seymore Canyon Drainage, Paulsin Basin and Hoytes Canyon Drainage, Wide Hollow Drainage, Left-Hand Fork of Beaver Creek Drainage, Slate Creek Drainage, and the Yellow Pine Drainage) for two weeks prior to and during the fall deer and elk hunts
✕ Foot traffic and/or snowshoers on groomed Nordic parallel tracks. For the purposes of this order, snowshoers may walk on the packed sides of groomed ski trails (as long as the machine set parallel tracks are not walked on) for short distances to access other non-groomed trails when "signed open". Foot traffic will not be allowed at any time
✕ Parking in trailheads overnight unless camping at least one mile from the trailhead. For the purposes of this order, vehicles parked in designated trailheads overnight must hike and/or ride and camp at least one mile from the trailhead
✕ Camping overnight in any trailhead or developed day use area. Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.58 (e) the following acts, or persons
✓ Persons with a permit or contract or contract authorizing the prohibited act
✓ Authorized Federal, State or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of official duty, when authorized by the District Ranger
✓ Persons authorized and accompanied by a Forest Officer or a permittee while in the restricted area
✓ Area Description: The areas include all Semi-Primitive, Non-Motorized lands managed by the Kamas Ranger District
